Sustainable Foods is looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Centurion team. This full-time role is key to maintaining the company’s financial health, managing customer accounts, and ensuring timely collections.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Accounts Receivable
- Process incoming payments and apply accurately to customer accounts.
- Monitor overdue invoices and resolve payment issues.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions.
Customer Account Management
- Prepare and send customer invoices promptly.
- Respond to billing inquiries and resolve disputes.
- Build strong client relationships for timely payments.
Collections
- Contact clients regarding overdue payments via phone, email, or letters.
- Negotiate payment terms when necessary.
- Collaborate with legal or collections teams for delinquent accounts.
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Reconcile accounts for accurate payments and credits.
- Assist in financial closings (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
- Prepare aging reports and track payment trends.
- Forecast cash flow based on receivables.
Collaboration
- Work with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve payment issues.
- Ensure accurate account records across departments.
Requirements For Sustainable Foods Accounts Receivable Clerk
- 7+ years accounts receivable experience.
- Certificate in relevant field.
- Proficient in Sage and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in the FMCG industry.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Salary: R10,000 – R20,000 per month
- Work Location: Centurion, Gauteng (in person)
- Working Hours: Mon–Fri, 7 AM – 5 PM; occasional Saturdays or overtime
