Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Basic Pharmacist Assistance qualification
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
• Proficient in Unisolv and MS Office
• Excellent English communication skills and a second language
• Willingness to work retail hours

Advantageous skills include experience in retail/FMCG, knowledge of SAP or E-Scripting, and understanding of family planning or complementary medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense Schedule 1–5 medications and assist with prescription interpretation
• Support medication compounding, repackaging, and manufacturing
• Accurately capture and verify patient scripts using pharmacy software
• Provide patient counseling on medication usage and medical aid claims
• Manage inventory, conduct stock checks, and ensure accurate order processing
• Uphold safety, accuracy, and compliance standards in line with SAPC regulations

Ideal Candidate:

This position suits a Post Basic Qualified Pharmacist Assistant who is detail-oriented, service-driven, and able to work well under pressure. Familiarity with FEFO, stock control, and chronic medication authorizations is preferred.
